Why this field
India has roughly one trained career counsellor for every few thousand school students. Most students choose a stream, a course and a career with little more than marks and family advice to go on.
CBSE now requires affiliated secondary schools to appoint a dedicated career counsellor, one for every 500 students in classes IX–XII. Many of these counsellors are teachers taking on the role for the first time, without an assessment kit or a report generator.

How we keep it safe
- Each counsellor’s or school’s data lives in its own isolated database partition.
- Verifiable parental consent for students under 18, as the DPDP Rules require, with a separate, refusable opt-in for research use.
- No advertising, and no profiling of students for any purpose other than their own report.
- Reports are released by the counsellor, never sent to a student automatically.
